Biography

Celine Gaurier-Joubert studied for more than a decade in Paris at the feet of two of the world’s most demanding concert masters namely Edson Elias (who won 13 international competitions) and Pascal Devoyon. Edson Elias was her piano coach, mentor and guide and taught her the most confidential knowledge and secrets of the piano. After this period, Celine went on to perfect her skill in Lausanne, Switzerland with the maestro Antonioli. She also competed in various international piano competitions and performed extensively in Switzerland. In the beautiful Alpine country, she learned the theoretical side of jazz piano with Thierry Lang. (World renowned Blue Note artist and Switzerland’s most eminent jazz pianist)

During her life in Paris, Celine accompanied many singers for the opera in preparation for their performances. She also achieved the highest levels in sight-reading and ear training and could transcribe an entire orchestra score and transpose the instruments to the correct keys.

After a period of performance and learning, Celine has decided to devote her life to helping adults advance their passion for playing the piano by using unique methods of teaching which help adults learn faster and more effectively.

She lives in London and welcomes new students including writers, journalists, accountants, solicitors, bankers, personal assistants, underwriters, investors, doctors, architects, artists and business men and women as well as people from all other walks of life to join a courses at the London Piano Institute.
